VLibourne with its 23,000 inhabitants is in south-west France in an area well-known for its historical places and local produce. Libourne enjoys a temperate ocean climate with lots of sunshine : more than 2,000 hours per year. Located to the north of Aquitaine, the town is close to prestigious vineyards, beautiful countryside, the city of Bordeaux and Atlantic beaches. At the confluence of two rivers, the Isle and the mighty Dordogne, the town is naturally supplied with a wide variety of fish, which has inspired the local culinary heritage.

In Libourne, don’t miss the 3 weekly markets featuring local produce, the temporary exhibitions of the modern art museum and the Carmel chapel, a guided visit of the historical Bastide town, the starting points of hiking, cross country biking and running itineraries.
